Shellac is the main, and most important material you will need to complete the process, Denatured Absolute Alcohol is also a must have material for fast and easy French polishing. We recommend 100% Denatured Absolute Alcohol and NOT Methylated Spirits.

Whats in the box?

This Kit includes the Shellac of your choice (1kg) and 4 litres of Denatured Absolute Alcohol & 3x Filter Cones. This 1 to 4 ration creates a basic shellac solution, the solution can be used as is, or it can be customised to suit your needs. The solution is suitable for Shellac Hardener, colour altering stains, or it can be diluted with more DAA for spraying.

Application

With 3 different application methods, you can do it your way! You can use a brush, polishing rubber (fad) or spray gun to apply the shellac. Each method offers unique advantages, and the best method is often debatable, we recommend a French Polishing Mop Brush for easy application.

Dissolve the flake in Denatured Absolute Alcohol with a ratio of 1:4 (250 grams of flakes to 1 litre of DAA – 1kg of flakes to 4 litres of DAA etc.) Once the flakes have dissolved, you can get started.
