Restorers Choice Microcrystalline Furniture Wax Polish
After 45 years in the industry, we still hadn’t found a furniture wax we were satisfied with, so we created out own! Restorers Choice has a wide range of furniture wax for all timber furniture that needs some rejuvenation. A high quality blend of ingredients makes our wax great at cutting through built up dirt and grime, adding a layer of protection that gives a fantastic shine and hides those stubborn scratches. Try it for yourself and receive 30cm of free SIFA steal wool for those extra soiled areas.
Microcrystalline Wax is often preferred over beeswax as its low Ph will not darken or yellow the timber over time, the wax enhances the natural colour of the timber rather than changing the original, it is widely used by Museums, Restorers and Art Conservationists as it as its protective abilities significantly increases the life expectancy of the piece.
Microcrystalline Wax can be used on wood lacquer, French polish, leather, brass iron and other metals with no risk of damage or colour change.
Handmade and poured into the can by hand to ensure every batch is made with quality and care. Our wax will give a beautiful lustre to any piece of furniture. For a low shine finish try our finishing wax.
Selecting a Wax Colour
The colour of wax will NOT change the colour of the furniture and does NOT need to match the colour of the timber. The wax is only coloured to fill small cracks, holes and joints and help hide the imperfections your furniture may have. Imperfections can easily be hidden when filled with coloured wax that is similar to the timber.
